No One Knows About Persian Cats

Pretty Persian CatDid you hear about the new documentary that Iranian film director Bahman Ghobadi released in the month of April this year? The film was written in collaboration with the famous journalist Roxana Saberi. “No One Knows about Persian Cats” is a documentary on Tehranian rebel group. Shooting of this film landed the film crew in jail twice during the time of production. The story us about Negar and Ashkan who want to start a band which they refer to as Indie Rock. The names are favorable and the cast is good too. The movie has some shots wherein Roxana Saberi is seen entering and exiting in short cuts.

The music in this film is sweet and moody which makes the name Indie Rocks perfect for the band. The two protagonists travel to Europe to find out good musicians who can fulfill their dreams. The backdrop is in the conservative Tehran where it is illegal to have an underground music band. The expression of feeling and creativity rebels against the rules and regulation of the country is the main theme of “No One Knows about Persian Cats”.

However, this film never had much about Persian cats though, just like in the series of “Friends” Phoebe kept singing about smelly cats but never really said anything about it.

These commercials use cute white Persian cats as their brand ambassador. The bulkiness and the furry Persian Cats are the best to be used for any commercial. Especially when the commercial is for cat food. They are sure shot winners to pull more and more pet owners to such food.

Mouse Hunt (1997)

The cat that plays Tom in this Gore Verbinski flick is a Persian Cat. The attraction remains wth the vibrancy of such a slapstick comedy while the cat keeps chasing the mouse and failing brutally.

Stuart Little

The jealous Snowbell is also a white Persian cat that keeps trying to beat Stuart in order to be the favorite of the Little’s.

Apart from these movies various movies like “Hair Spray” and “Ugly Truth” have cats playing a role that signifies some emotion. Love and naughtiness in “the Ugly truth” and definitely mischief and uncanny in “hair Spray”.
